ABOUT MONA

You weren't made for this pace.

You've been mothering inside a lie that says you can have it all at once. I come from a place that never believed it.

I am the bridge between the two.

My story

You should know who's talking before you trust her with your mornings. So here's my story, kept short, because this page is still about you.

I grew up in the Faroe Islands. Eighteen small islands in the North Atlantic where sheep outnumber people and it rains 280 days a year. During the war, British soldiers nicknamed it the Land of Maybe, because the weather decides your plans, not you. You'd think a place like that would produce anxious people. It produces the opposite. When you cannot control the sky, you stop trying. You build your calm indoors instead.

That's what my mother did. My grandmother too. Rhythm as law. Rest nobody had to earn. And I'll be honest with you, because the Faroes are not a postcard: the grey swallows people. As a teenager it started swallowing me, and I counted the days until I could leave. That's how I know the calm in our house was never the weather. It was built. I grew up watching a skill and mistaking it for scenery.

I understood it the way you're probably understanding things right now: through motherhood. Married to my American sweetheart, my first babies arriving close together, and no calmer season anywhere on the calendar. It finally landed, and it's the same thing I'll tell you: peace was never going to come from my circumstances changing. It starts within. And it rests on God.

Then we moved to America, a country I love and chose twice, once in a husband and once on a map. And here I met the lie at full volume: you can have it all at once. Hustle harder. Just find balance. And when a mother falls behind, the lie sends her the bill.

If that bill has your name on it, hear me. A broken method punishes effort. That is why trying harder has never worked.

One more thing, and it matters for you. I am not a calm woman. I was the first Faroese woman to play professional football on the European continent. I built my first business at twenty-two and spent fifteen years coaching women on the daily design of their lives. I'm fire. So calm is not my personality, and it doesn't have to be yours. Calm is built with your hands, every morning. My mother built it inside a storm. I build it inside America. You're next.

Which is why I'll hand you the sentence that changed my life:

Nobody is coming to slow your life down. That part is yours.

It sounds hard. It is the most freeing thing I know. And it is exactly what I teach.

What I believe

I come from the most believing corner of the Nordic world, where faith is not a private hobby. So I'll say mine out loud.

Psalm 46 was not written in a spa. It describes the earth giving way, mountains falling into the sea, nations raging. And into that noise God says: Be still, and know that I am God. Stillness in Scripture is not a mood. It is a defended position. Your world can be a circus and your feet can be on rock at the same time.

On that rock, I don't teach mothers to do more. I teach subtraction. Rhythm instead of hustle. Presence instead of performance. Because you were given more power to build a life than any generation of mothers before you, and burying that power is the one thing Scripture actually calls a waste.

What I make

Everything I teach is free on YouTube, every week. The paid rooms are where you stop watching and start building, with me in it.

  • is the free five-minute practice where every woman here begins.
  • The weekly show walks through the rooms of a mother's life, turning the lights back on one at a time.
  • Built 4 This is the audio course that lays the foundation under your days.
  • And a few times a year, I open a small room where ten women build together, with me in it.

Start where every woman here starts.

Ró is the free five-minute Nordic practice for mothers whose minds won't stop. Five steps. Five minutes. The doorway into everything else.
